Our wine story began in 1998 when we broke ground on Destiny Ridge Vineyard which is located in the Horse Heaven Hills and overlooking the majestic Columbia River. It was a dream in the rough. It is here in this unique terroir that we begin the process of nurturing the fruit quality from bud to bottle, believing that quality starts in the vineyard. We feature exclusive wine club rooms and banquet facilities in our tasting rooms located in Prosser and Woodinville, WA. The Estate at Destiny Ridge includes three amazing private suites and is the perfect location for weddings, corporate retreats or a romantic getaway. Our vineyard is home to our Tiny House Glamping.
Open any bottle of Brian Carter Cellars wine and you’ll discover both an inspiration and a story. Owners and wine enthusiasts Derek Berger and Scott Heinrich began making wine together in 2004. Derek and Scott first began making beer in the late 80’s while attending Engineering school in Bozeman MT which later evolved into a mutual passion for wine in the 90’s. From 1998 to 2001, Scott operated a winetasting web business called TasteofWine.com which provided wine-tasting packages to help people learn about different regions and varietals. Mutual winetasting passion evolved into a winemaking hobby run from Scott’s garage starting in 2004 and made its way to Woodinville in 2011.
In the early 1900s, M.L. Monson brought his family to the Yakima Valley, armed with a love for the land and the dream of building a family farming business that would continue for generations.
Initially, the Monsons focused on orchards and cattle. But after talking with Dr. Walter Clore, widely recognized as the visionary behind Washington’s wine industry, Arvid Monson built on the legacy of the land started by his father and began to establish vineyards in the arid hills and valleys around Richland. With that, Goose Ridge Estate Vineyard & Winery was born.
Today, Goose Ridge stands as one of Washington’s most renowned and progressive properties among the state’s nearly 1,000 wineries.

Enjoying wine is a very personal experience. We are drawn to its color, aroma, and taste in ways unique to each person. Our own life experiences influence how we hear, see, smell, and taste varieties of wine from many unique terroirs around the globe. From the pop of the cork as the wine takes is first breath of fresh air again to the clink of glasses among friends, the wine tasting experience is an individual phenomenon. A proper wine tasting experience should bring out the individual qualities of a wine as it matches up to the person enjoying it. With the helpful advice of a tasting coach, it is possible to learn the many facets of what wine is and what wine does. At Lauren Ashton Cellars we strive to help each person discover new elements of wine every day.
